Humour me.
What if we make people, real conscious people, every time we dream, who then die at the end of the dream? Also yes, if that were true who’s to say that we aren’t also the figments of someone’s dream, but I don’t want to put that much effort into this particular thought.
When we dream it seems like we experience things from one perspective. We meet other weird characters who sometimes shock us. But, those other characters we meet in our slumber-stories are still technically us. They’re made by our brain. If one of those viewpoints is a conscious entity, why can’t they all be?
What if these people are fleeting splinters of our own consciousness, mighty for a moment in the half-remembered realm before they dissolve at the first touch of reality? By this warped logic, we are responsible for both birthing and annihilating countless consciousnesses every night…
… or in the day, if that’s when you sleep. Apparently some people do that.
Uncanny. I literally am laying here having difficulty falling asleep. For some odd reason you popped into my mind. Just a fleeting moment, honestly a few seconds. Got bored, decided to check my email and here this was. Am I awake still? Or dreaming? I stopped questioning my reality a long time ago when these coincidences occur. I'm going to have to turn off the lamp now hahaha
What if those fleeting splinters lay dormant while you are awake?
Every dream is a new stage for each of those conscious fragments to appear and express themselves until the play is over and the curtain drops. But they are indeed originating from somewhere in your brain...
Maybe they can be accessed even while awake... ? Do they hold the key to your unconscious side?
